Glass fabric reinforced with stainless steel threads and equipped with flame retardant based on expanded graphite. When exposed to heat above 180°C, the expanded graphite expands irreversibly (intumescence) and removes oxygen from the flame, thereby slowing the spread of the flame. Typical application as flame retardant in truck and bus components.
