Overview

Sewn sleeve made of glass fabric reinforced with stainless steel threads, equipped with flame protection on one side. Side 1: Coating based on vinyl acetate copolymer, aluminum pigmented. Side 2: Coating based on silicone rubber, filled with expandable graphite. Continuous operating temperature up to max. 170°C; irreversible expansion of the expandable graphite begins at approximately 180°C. Available in various diameters and with various closure systems. Typical applications: Automotive, transportation.

The ZTFE-GRAPEX 1000 is an innovative protective sleeve for demanding heat and cable protection in safety-critical applications. Its multi-layer construction combines an E-glass fabric with integrated stainless steel threads, a heat-reflective aluminum surface, and an inner silicone-based expandable graphite material. This structure enables an active response to thermal stress.

At a temperature of approximately 180°C, the expandable graphite begins to foam, forming an additional, self-reinforcing protective layer against flames and heat. This makes the protective sleeve particularly suitable for applications with increased requirements for fire protection and thermal insulation. The aluminum outer surface simultaneously reflects radiant heat.

The ZTFE-GRAPEX 1000 offers continuous temperature resistance up to 170°C. It is abrasion-resistant, flexible, and resistant to oils, fuels, greases, and common chemicals. The combination of these properties makes it a versatile solution for complex environmental conditions in industrial and mobile applications.

The protective sleeve is available in diameters from 8 to 100 mm. Custom shapes and lengths are also available upon request.
