ZTFE-x-VACUFLECT_Info
Advantages
  • Thermal insulation through a combination of aluminum, silicone and glass fabric
  • Protective hose with high temperature resistance and abrasion resistance
  • Flexible installation thanks to slim design
  • Chemical resistant and non-flammable
Application
  • Cable protection in thermally stressed environments
  • Mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, aviation
  • Applications with requirements for reflection and durability

Sewn sleeve made of VACUFLECT® 500 (patented), a single-sided aluminum-coated E-glass fabric treated with alkyl silicone resin, additionally coated with black silicone, and bonded to a 4.5 mm thick felt made of 100% Preox fibers. Continuous operating temperature up to max. 300°C. Available in various diameters and with different closure systems. Typical applications: Automotive, transportation.

The ZTFE-VACUFLECT 500S is a high-performance heat protection solution for the effective thermal insulation of cables, wires, and sensitive components. The multi-layer construction combines a robust E-glass fabric with a heat-reflective aluminum foil and a silicone-based protective film – ideal for harsh industrial operating conditions.

The protective sleeve offers a temperature resistance of -50°C to +180°C in continuous operation. Under radiant heat exposure, the material can withstand temperatures up to 650°C for short periods. The special combination of glass fabric, silicone, and aluminum not only provides heat protection but also reliably protects against abrasion, oil, chemicals, and mechanical stress.

The flexible design allows for easy installation – even for retrofitting into existing systems. The VACUFLECT 500S variant is particularly suitable for applications where reflective properties and chemical resistance are equally important.

Standard diameters between 8 and 100 mm, as well as customized fabrication options, ensure maximum adaptability in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or electrical systems.
